Single Mom Initiative

In October 2020 we will be launching a new initiative called
“SINGLE MOM ” (The Breadwinner), where our focus will be on
empowering and assisting single mothers especially those
from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. We will also be
working in collaboration with other organizations to provide
support to abused women.

Future Bread Winner

In 2021 there will be an introduction of “THE FUTURE
BREADWINNER ” which is an initiative aimed at educating and
equipping our youth towards creating a better future for
themselves, their families, their communities, and their
country.

Webpowerment

This groundbreaking campaign is designed to empower marginalized and struggling entrepreneurs by providing them with the digital tools they need to thrive.

Our vision is to distribute a minimum
of at least 1000 loaves of bread per day.
The production of bread is done within
the surrounding area of the location,
thus providing freshly baked bread to
the recipients.

About Our Organisation

THE BREADWINNER… all you knead is loaves!!

Founded in 2019 and based in Pretoria,
developed with those less fortunate in
mind The Breadwinner has taken a fresh
direction by creating an opportunity for
you to have a slice in eradicating
hunger.

Inspired by a feeding scheme done
during one month of the year at an
informal settlement in Itereleng, The
Breadwinner has decided to provide
bread on a daily basis in Itereleng as
well as other impoverished areas.

Currently, our bread is outsourced to independent
bakeries and bread suppliers, but our long term vision is
to purchase bread manufacturing equipment thereby
enabling job creation for previously disadvantaged
individuals residing in the informal settlements and
surrounding areas.

Sustained by our Donors

Make a Difference

At the moment funds are raised through marketing on social media and creating awareness with social networks where individuals contribute towards the initiative. The monies raised are then used to purchase the bread which is delivered to our various recipients ranging from, but not limited to informal settlements, orphanages and previously disadvantaged schools. Our goal is to make this initiative more sustainable by partnering with corporates and other businesses to contribute on a monthly basis.
